A clear explanation of the charter fee, Advance Provisioning Allowance, VAT and typical extras.
Charter pricing can appear complex at first. Once you understand the main components it becomes straightforward.
This is the base weekly rate for the yacht and crew. It usually includes the vessel, crew wages, insurance and standard equipment.
Typically 25–40% of the charter fee. The captain uses this fund for fuel, food, beverages, marina fees and other running costs. You receive a statement and any unused balance is returned at the end of the charter.
VAT may apply depending on the yacht’s flag, itinerary and embarkation point. Your Concierge will clarify the position for your specific charter.
Crew gratuities are customary (often 10–15% of the charter fee) and are at the charterer’s discretion, based on service received.
